Unfortunately that is a limitation of the underlaying .Net framework/Windows IO API's. It means one of your assemblies in the GAC has a name/path name that is too long for the .Net API methods to handle. Only solution would be to manually make it shorter (uninstall assembly, rename or recompile with shorter name and namespace and then install again).

I'm also getting the above error which stops me generating a full list. A work around is to look through the GAC and use the filter to work around the assemblies that have long paths but obviously this isn't ideal.

Can the code not be changed to fail gracefully and skip over those long keys rather than just crashing out please?
